E. Florida Detached Garage Fire
Early this morning, at approximately 2:21 a.m. Local 2086 and 1290 members were dispatched after multiple phone calls reporting a garage on fire at a multi-family apartment complex on E. Florida Avenue in Arapahoe County. Arapahoe County Deputies were first on scene and confirmed seeing active flames, that the garage was an unattached structure and began to notify and evacuate the closest apartment building. First arriving members quickly stretched a 2.5 inch for fire attack, checked for exposures and completed a 360. The fire was contained to the garage structure with no injuries reported. The cause is under investigation by the South Metro Fire Marshal’s Office.
