Desert Willow Structure Fire
Just before 4:30 a.m. on Monday December, 19th, Local members responded to a residential fire near Lucent Blvd and W. Highlands Ranch Pkwy in Douglas County. The initial 9-1-1 calls came to Dispatch from a concerned neighbor nearby, stating the entire front of the home was consumed by fire. Members from Tower 18 were the first arriving unit and ensured the occupants had safely evacuated while establishing a water supply and pulling a line for the initial fire attack. Crews found heavy fire conditions extending throughout the home. They were able to rescue one cat. However, one cat is still missing. No injuries were reported. The cause has been determined to be accidental in nature.
