South Himalaya Circle Structure Fire

At 3:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, SMFR received multiple calls reporting a residential structure fire on S Himalaya Circle in Arapahoe County. Callers described seeing active flames on the outside of the house. Local members on first arriving units confirmed that there was a working fire on the side of the home with extension to the second story and attic space. Crews quickly pulled an inch and 3/4 hose, secured a water supply, made entry, and completed a search of the first and second floors. The fire was declared under control in approximately 35 minutes. No injuries were reported and the SMFR Fire Marshal's Office determined the fire was likely caused by ashes in a trash can. Thank you to Local 1290 for your assistance.
