In the afternoon of July 17, 2022, Local members responded to reports of a 10x10 grass fire behind Rita Place in Castle Pines. The incident was soon upgraded to a Wildland Interface Fire when it was reported to have spread closer to the homes that backed up to the open space. Once members were on scene, they used hose lines and hand tools to quickly contain and extinguish the fire. No injuries occurred and the cause is under investigation.
