East Iliff Avenue Commercial Structure Fire
South Metro Fire Rescue and Arapahoe County Sheriffs Office are actively investigating what caused a building fire the night of Friday July 8th. Cathay Way Structure Fire
After extinguishing a wildland interface fire earlier in the evening, Local members responded to a house fire just after 11 p.m. on July 4th. The incident occurred on S. Cathay Way in Centennial where flames spread from the ground level up siding and into the eaves. Illegal fireworks are the probable cause of a 3-alarm wildland interface fire that threatened numerous homes on Independence Day. At 7:38 p.m. 911 callers initially reported a small vegetation fire burning in the 3800 block of S. Himalaya Way. The fire was pushed in several directions by gusty winds from a dying thunderstorm, and flames were seen shooting over the rooftops of homes. Kittiwake St. Structure Fire
Improperly discarded fireworks destroyed a Highlands Ranch garage late Sunday night. The fireworks were used outside and felt cool to the touch when they were placed in a plastic trash bin inside the garage. Around 10:40 p.m. smoke alarms and an odor of smoke alerted the residents who discovered the trash bin in flames and rapidly spreading. At approximately 9:32 p.m., on June 29, Local members were dispatched to a single-family residential structure fire on Michener Way in Douglas County. Friday, June 3, 2022 - Just after 4 a.m., Local members responded to multiple reports of a mobile home fire near C-470 and Santa Fe in Littleton. Upon arrival, members found heavy fire conditions and had concerns that the fire may have extended towards neighboring homes.
